20 November 2026

On 20th November, drop-in to ‘For Dignity and Solidarity’: a space for learning, reflection and prayer for justice, equality and belonging for all, on the Transgender day of Remembrance.

This event is open to all, and will include opportunity to discover more about why this day matters, the impact of gender discrimination, and think about how we all play a part in nurturing spaces of belonging for all. The church will be open for learning, reflection and prayer, in solidarity with our trans siblings and all those whose lives have been impacted through violence against trans people, and in witness to our conviction that all lives are of value to God.

Drop in at any time.

Light refreshments will also be available.

About The Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR)

The Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is an international day to remember all transgender people across the world lost to violence. TDOR was started by transgender advocate Gwendolyn Ann Smith as a vigil to honour the memory of Rita Hester, a transgender woman who was killed in 1998. The vigil commemorated all the transgender people lost to violence that year and began an important memorial that has become the annual Transgender Day of Remembrance. It is held on 20th November each year.
